Why We Started Wita's Caffe'
Our home has always been a hangout for the neighborhood kids, a place where laughter and joy fill the air. As the sun sets, parents come searching for their children, creating bonds with our family and the community. Cooking good food has always been a centerpiece of our gatherings, bringing us all closer together. The moments when we cook and share a meal, witnessing the happiness and togetherness, are the most cherished in my life.
The day we discovered that our first grandbaby was on the way was a momentous occasion that filled our hearts with joy and excitement. We celebrated with a great Lechon' Asado (Pork Roast) family dinner and an espresso for after dinner. It's these unexpected surprises that make life so beautiful.
And so, with a passion for bringing people together, we started Wita's Caffe Mobile. A place where everyone is welcomed as family, where we can share our stories and create lasting memories over a cup of my grandmother's beloved Cafe Con Leche.
Wita is short for "Abuelita" a Spanish diminutive for "abuela," meaning "grandmother" just not fully pronounced by our grandkids.
